European Mobility Week at Kolektor
15. 09. 2025
European Mobility Week, held this year under the slogan “Mobility for All”, reminds us each year that choosing sustainable transport is much more than just deciding how to get to work. It is a matter of accessibility, social inclusion, health, and climate responsibility.

European Mobility Week: “Mobility for All”
At Kolektor, we recognize the importance of ensuring that all employees have access to sustainable mobility options – whether public transport, safe cycling paths, car-sharing, or simply the option to walk to work. Such accessibility ensures that no one is left out: employees without a private car still have the opportunity to arrive safely and on time. This strengthens social inclusion and reduces so-called transport poverty, which arises when vulnerable groups are limited in their daily lives due to a lack of accessible transport options.
Sustainable mobility also brings significant health benefits – walking and cycling improve physical fitness, reduce stress, and increase overall vitality. At the same time, we reduce CO₂ emissions, since private cars are one of the largest sources of air pollution.
Everyone can contribute to change – even with small steps:
-
cycling or riding an (electric) scooter,
-
using public transport,
-
sharing a car with colleagues,
-
or simply walking, whenever possible.
Did you know?
-
The average private car in the EU emits around 120 g of CO₂ per kilometer.
-
If 10 employees cycle to work instead of driving at least twice a week, this prevents over 1 ton of CO₂ emissions per year.
-
Walking 30 minutes a day can reduce the risk of heart disease by almost 20%.
This year, European Mobility Week takes place from 16 to 22 September, culminating in the popular Car-Free Day.
European Mobility Week is a great opportunity to try out new ways of getting around – and to keep them even after the campaign ends. Change is in our hands – every step counts!
