The Divača – Koper railway line is part of the priority Mediterranean traffic corridor.
The duration of the construction of a shorter section of the second rail track between the Koper station – loading dock and the area of the Dekani power supply station in the length of approximately 1.2 km was 29 months. Such a second rail track ensures a more flexible management of train traffic and a bigger capacity of the existing track that will suffice for the increased scope of loads into and from the Koper port until the construction of the second rail track. The construction of the rail track brought new works on the new track and reconstruction of existing upper and lower structures. Within the project, we also performed line openings, deviation of roads, transfer of utility lines, drainage, noise protection and landscape arrangement.
